Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 25, 2026


Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Hurest (hereinafter "Company") and members in connection with the use of Legends of Habit (hereinafter "Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:

  1. "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and entered into a service agreement with the Company.
  2. "Habit Card" means a habit goal unit created by a member within the Service, to which an avatar (persona) is assigned.
  3. "Avatar" means a gamification character linked to a Habit Card that grows as the member performs habits.
  4. "Attack" means the act of recording the completion of a habit by a member.
  5. "Coins" means free in-service currency earned through motivation activities such as defeating monsters.
  6. "Rubies" means premium currency purchased by members with real money.
  7. "Content" means all information, text, images, and other materials provided by the Company or created by members within the Service.
  8. "Public Habit Card" means a Habit Card that is set to be searchable and viewable by other members. Public is the default setting when a Habit Card is created.
  9. "Private Habit Card" means a Habit Card that is only viewable by the member who created it. Creating a Private Habit Card is a paid feature that requires rubies.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms take effect when posted on the Service or otherwise made available to members.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws. In the event of any amendment, the Company shall post the effective date and reasons for the change within the Service at least 7 days prior to the effective date. However, for changes that are disadvantageous to members, the notice period shall be at least 30 days.
  3. If a member does not agree to the amended Terms, the member may discontinue use of the Service and withdraw. A member who continues to use the Service after the effective date of the amended Terms shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

Article 4 (Service Agreement)

  1. A service agreement is formed when an applicant agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, completes registration through a social login method provided by the Company (Google, Apple, etc.), and the Company accepts the registration.
  2. The Company may reject a registration or terminate the service agreement after the fact in the following cases:
    • The applicant is under 14 years of age
    • False information was provided during registration
    • A person whose access was previously restricted for violating these Terms applies to re-register
    • Other cases that violate applicable laws or do not meet the Company's standards
  3. The service agreement is formed at the time the Company accepts the registration.

Article 5 (Member Information)

  1. Members provide information such as email address, nickname, and profile image through their social login provider (Google, Apple, etc.).
  2. Members may change their nickname and profile image within the Service, limited to once every 7 days.
  3. A member's nickname and profile image may be visible to other members through search results, Habit Card views, social features, and other aspects of the Service.
  4. Members must keep their information accurate and up to date. The Company shall not be liable for any disadvantages arising from inaccurate information.

Article 6 (Description of the Service)

The main features of the Service provided by the Company are as follows. This Service is a habit-building support service and does not constitute a "game" under applicable game industry laws.

  1. Habit Management: Creating Habit Cards, recording habit completion (attacks), and tracking progress
  2. Motivation System: Avatar growth, monster battles, leveling up, class evolution, rebirth, and other gamified habit feedback
  3. Shop: Purchasing potions (items) with coins, exchanging rubies for coins, and accessing additional features with rubies
  4. Push Notifications: Sending service-related notifications including habit reminders and member interactions (members may change their notification preferences in settings)
  5. Habit Search: A feature that allows members to search for and view Public Habit Cards created by other members. Information such as the name of Public Habit Cards may appear in search results.
  6. Member Interactions: Features that allow members to react to other members' public activity or form connections with other members. Specific features may be added or modified in accordance with the Company's operational policies.
  7. Other services developed or provided through partnerships by the Company

Article 7 (Modification and Suspension of the Service)

  1. The Company may modify all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons and shall post any changes within the Service.
  2. The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service in the following cases:
    • Technical reasons such as regular system maintenance, server expansion or replacement, or network instability
    • Force majeure events such as power outages, natural disasters, or national emergencies
    • Other unavoidable reasons based on the Company's reasonable judgment
  3. If the Company intends to permanently terminate the Service, it shall notify members at least 30 days prior to the termination date.

Article 8 (Paid Services and Payment)

  1. The Company sells rubies within the Service. Members may purchase rubies through in-app purchases (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) or web-based payments (PayPal, etc.).
  2. Ruby pricing and payment methods are as displayed on the shop screen within the Service.
  3. Features available through rubies include, but are not limited to, the following, and the Company may add or modify these features:
    • Exchanging rubies for coins
    • Creating additional Habit Cards
    • Creating private Habit Cards
    • Other premium features as determined by the Company
  4. Paid purchases by minors require consent from a legal guardian. Purchases made without such consent may be canceled by the legal guardian.

Article 9 (Withdrawal of Subscription and Refunds)

  1. If a member has purchased rubies, the member may request a withdrawal of subscription for unused rubies within 7 days from the date of purchase.
  2. Withdrawal of subscription shall be restricted in the following cases:
    • All or part of the purchased rubies have already been used (e.g., exchanged for coins, used to create Habit Cards)
    • The currency has been lost or damaged due to the member's own fault
    • Other cases where withdrawal is restricted by applicable laws
  3. Refunds for rubies purchased through in-app purchases (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) are subject to the refund policies of the respective platforms.
  4. Refunds for rubies purchased through web-based payments must be requested directly from the Company. Payment processing fees and other charges may be deducted from the refund amount.
  5. Coins earned for free and in-game items are not eligible for refunds.

Article 10 (Member Obligations)

  1. Members shall not engage in any of the following acts:
    • Misappropriating another person's personal information or account
    • Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
    • Exploiting bugs or errors to gain unfair advantages
    • Using the Service in violation of applicable laws or public order and morals
    • Using the Service for commercial purposes without the Company's prior consent
    • Using automated means (bots, macros, etc.) to access or use the Service
    • Other acts that violate the Company's operational policies
  2. If a member violates Paragraph 1, the Company may restrict the member's access or terminate the service agreement. The Company shall not be liable for any damages resulting from such actions.
  3. Detailed criteria and procedures for access restrictions shall be governed by the Company's separate operational policies.

Article 11 (Intellectual Property Rights)

  1. All intellectual property rights related to the Service, including avatar and monster images, item designs, game systems, and UI/UX design, belong to the Company.
  2. Members shall not reproduce, distribute, broadcast, create derivative works from, or otherwise use or allow third parties to use any content obtained through the Service without the Company's prior consent.
  3. Copyright in content created by members within the Service (such as habit records) belongs to the respective members. However, the Company may use such content for the purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the Service.

Article 12 (Account Management)

  1. Members shall manage their accounts with due care.
  2. Members shall immediately notify the Company if they discover unauthorized use of their account.
  3. The Company shall not be liable for damages arising from a member's failure to manage their account properly or from a delay in providing the notification described in Paragraph 2.

Article 13 (Withdrawal and Termination)

  1. Members may request withdrawal at any time by emailing legendsofhabit@hurest.com. The Company shall process the withdrawal within 7 business days of receiving the request.
  2. Upon withdrawal, all of the member's data, including account information, Habit Cards, avatars, coins, and rubies, shall be deleted and cannot be recovered. However, information that must be retained under applicable laws shall be preserved for the required period.
  3. If a member withdraws with unused rubies remaining, such rubies shall be forfeited and are not refundable. The Company shall inform the member of this during the withdrawal process.
  4. The Company may terminate the service agreement after notifying the member if the member has violated Article 10. However, in urgent cases, the Company may provide notification after the termination.

Article 14 (Privacy)

Matters regarding the processing of members' personal information are governed by the separate "Privacy Policy," to which members agree upon registration.

Article 15 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Company shall be exempt from liability if it is unable to provide the Service due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, wars, or suspension of services by telecommunications carriers.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for service disruptions caused by the member's own fault.
  3. The Company shall not be liable for damages incurred by members in connection with the use of services provided free of charge. However, this exclusion does not apply in cases of the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.
  4. The Company does not guarantee any in-service outcomes expected by members, such as leveling up or acquiring items.
  5. Virtual currencies and items within the Service, including coins, rubies, and items, may only be used within the Service and cannot be converted to cash or transferred.

Article 16 (Indemnification)

  1. If the Company causes damage to a member through willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company shall compensate for such damage.
  2. If a member causes damage to the Company by violating these Terms, the member shall compensate the Company for such damage.

Article 17 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Any disputes arising between the Company and a member in connection with the Service shall be filed with the competent court in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act.

Supplementary Provisions

These Terms shall take effect on March 25, 2026.
